Chamomile Natural Floral Water 200ml

Chamomile Floral Water is very gentle and beneficial to all skin types. It is relaxing and rejuvenating, anti-inflamitory and purifying. It is exceptionally soothing to fragile, irritated, sensitive and problem skin. It can be used for ezema, sunburn, bruises, pain and inflamation. It can be used as a gentle and mild bleaching agent, on the hair as a final rinse, great for blonde hair and on the skin to help fade freckles and age spots. For the face you can use it as a cleanser and toner, just soak a cotton pad and pat it over the skin, or use a spay bottle for a refreshing mist. Its soothing and cleansing properties can also be used for nappy rash to calm the irritation and it makes a lovely addition to a restless babies bath and can be used to wet tissues or cotton wool to clean them like wet wipes. It can take the sting out of insect bites and relieves itching etc, and is excellent at reducing puffiness and dark circles around the eyes. Just soak two cotton wool pads with the Floral Water and cover each eye for around 10 minutes for an immediate and dramatic reduction in puffiness. Regular use can help diminish dark circles. Its great to bring on holidays and the beach, alone or mixed with lavender Floral Water it makes a cooling, soothing spray and can help keep the skin hydrated on airplanes.

What is a Floral Water?

Floral Waters can also be known as hydrolats (milky water), hydrosol (water solution) distillate water, aromatic water or flower water. True floral waters contain a wide range of therapeutic benefits. Floral Waters do not always smell like their essential oil counterpart, this is due to the difference in their chemical make-up. They are produced by water or steam distillation of the flower or herb, and not by the addition of essential oils or synthetics to water with alcohol. They contain the therapeutic properties of the plants from which they were made, because they contain many of the water-soluble active principles that did not distil into the essential oil, making them ideal for general skincare. These highly versatile Floral Waters can be used as facial and hair spritzers, air fresheners around the home and in the car, added to the bath and even sprayed on your clothes as a fragrance. Hydrosols are quite safe to use on young children, and since they only contain a small amount of essential oil they do not need diluting much further except as above when using with very young babies. Used in the final rinse after shampooing floral waters help to condition hair and add a shine, for this purpose you can add a splash of cyder vinegar aswell. Around the house, hydrosols are great to freshen the air instead of using aerosols which of course are harmful to the environment. They can be added to the final rinse water in your washing cycle and used as a fragrant linen spray whilst ironing since they smell much nicer than their synthetic counterparts. I keep some in a spray bottle when traveling to refesh myself. They make a wonderful facial toner and will help to spread your moisturiser more evenly and use less aswell as making it absorb better. They are even used as a culinary ingredient in many world cuisines.
